Whats the difference? http://blog.caranddriver.com/for-5000-chevy-will-let-you-assemble-your-corvette-z06s-engine-yourself/
Almost double the costs, and you were just a monkey turning a wrench.

WOW!
Didn't know about that GM/Z06 5K raping!!!
Funny thing is ...... most Corvette owners are 85 year old fogies who couldn't turn a torque wrench without having a 'cardiac event'!!

to me a huge difference, putting the badge on and being told how great you are for buying an expensive car is one thing (though I wouldn't hold it against anyone for signing up for it)..... But to actually help build the heart of your own car, that would be cool. In the end its just another marketing idea providing the consumer with a way to justify to themselves spending a ton of money. Of course to some of these folks its still a drop in the bucket. Look what Ferrari and Lamborghini do for their clientele

We were told this when we went through the Corvette Factory. It may seem like something that is stupid, but being a novice Corvette fan, once you walk through the factory, if I was buying one I would ABSOLUTELY spend the extra cash to put my hands in on that...but not a stupid badge...
