I think xpel site wants $69 or somewhere around that. i check multiple depending what it is. the numerous mustang performance sites, amazon, ebay, rock auto, summit, tascaparts.com, alot of them are on ebay . just depends if it a maintenance item or bigger performance purchase.

I use Rock Auto, Summit, Jegs and Amazon.
I'd use Rock Auto more if they made a Marauder magnet.

For stock parts I usually go with Ford from one of the many online dealers. Good prices, and usually good quality too.

What about the BAP?
Straight from KB?
Was reading the theory of the BAP I didn't know there was a. Chip involved.
We have the dual cobra pumps, still one outlet hose and positive and negative wires going in.
duel pumps installed as a single pump
So here's the dumb question
Single or duel BAP?

Here at the shop we try to use local dealers for everything. We all need to remember that local is important. Who you deal with is your own choice but I sure prefer to have a person I trust and can count on when I need the right parts.

I do agree with local shops but not into auto zone, advance auto their staff here not too impressive. Orilliey has pretty good employees, I use them for our work trucks and daily drivers, went thru three radiators for a van the plastic sides kept leaking and three fuel pumps for the Yukon cheap air tech, bought a Bosch and that fixed it

I use ebay for most of my online purchases and Pep Boys for local. Pepboys.com also has a good "site to store" feature similar to Walmart and frequently offer 15% off parts if you order online. This past Presidents Day they had 25% off parts.

As the owner of a shop your local dealers probably support you with fair pricing, even if not at the level of the online dealers.
For the rest of us schmucks, if you walk into a dealer parts counter you're going to pay double or more what the parts should cost. I have tried to negotiate reasonable parts prices with them, in the end they were uncooperative and it just wasn't worth the hassle. Especially when they have to order the parts. Well, I can order them too. This at a local dealer I have spent about $10K over the past ten years on parts and service.
It is a two-way street doing business locally.

And that is why I use OEM parts where appropriate: my time is valuable.

Agreed. My local Jeep dealership wanted $300 for a Mopar alternator with a 2-year warranty and $275 for install. I purchased one at Pep Boys for $117 with a lifetime warranty. Taking my time the complete swap was under an hour. I'm guessing the dealer was quoting approx. 3 hours for installation at $90/hr. They don't get the nickname "stealership" for nothing!

I have had some bad experiences with discount auto parts, and something like an alternator will leave you stranded if/when it croaks. "Lifetime warranty" means little compared to actual reliability and quality of the part.
That said, I don't mean to rain on your parade. I just prefer OEM parts at a fair price. I've been burned by <insert discount parts chain here> enough to learn.

I never buy non-OEM IACs, MAFs or coils. Too many issues has been my experience.

I only use Ford OEM parts on my car. The first call for anything I might need is the dealership if they have it, if not I try and source a new OEM part online. Some stuff is annoyingly expensive from Dealership, but I know my OCD would kill me if I bought one not-oem new part

You shouldn't need s BAP. If the second pump is for reasons of boost you can simply hook it up to a Hobbs switch that receives boosted reference. As for the wiring, I was really impressed with the Racetronix dual pump wiring kit I used. Plus I already had 2 gauge wire with a distribution unit in the trunk from the battery for my amps so my feed wire was like a 3' upgrade. Winning.
I went return style and used the original outlet for my main pump and added two bulkheads for pump 2 and the return. If you stay return less just add the racetronox wiring, main power upgrade and upgraded FPDM or two probably. Can't recall.

I needed a power steering unit. I paid $50 for a brand new OEM off Ebay.
Most places wanted $70 core charge alone.

Good tip on the Racetronix kits, I'll check what they have for a Walbro 400 single pump wiring, hoses and sock.

It usually takes me several years going to a Ford parts counter before they start giving me that account code number (account 4000 or 9000 or something like that I see on my receipt) that gives me the better price. But then once I was getting my car serviced there for a major repair and the parts guys knew my car was being serviced at thier stealership. They had to order some parts for their service bay for my car but they didn't give me the discount I would have gotten had I ordered the parts myself at their counter and then gave to the service bay. So I was a little bit pissed at that.

I usually start my parts search with Green, partsvoice, vintage parts, rearcounter, etc. before I then go to ebay, Tasca, Auozone, etc.

And even then it depends on who is behind the counter. Enough of that noise, I buy from Silver State Ford Parts. Prices are as good as Tasca, and they are just over the Sierras on the business-friendly side in Nevada for fast shipping.
