So very much saddened by this. I talked to him last week, he said he was back in the hospital and he was still planning on coming to the Louisville Meet...We were gonna crash his place this summer to pay him back for his visit with us last year...:(:(:shake:

OMG[emoji20] I found out this morning. Barry's passing was definitely a distraction all day at work. Barry is a great man, great friend and probably the greatest family man I've ever had the pleasure of meeting and being friends with. I am very saddened. This is terrible news. My condolences to family and friends.

I am saddened by his passing. He was a Marauder enthusiast without a doubt.
Drive carefully on those streets of gold Barry. Marauders are not known for their traction.

I am at work right now and just checked in. This just blew me away. Barry was an awesome guy and a great member of this community. Got the joy of talking with him at Louisville and finding out he was a retired LEO. The stories only got better from there! Was looking forward to seeing him this year. Such horrible news. My condolences to his family. Rest Easy Brother...We got the watch from here!

Here is the information I received from Barry's family:

The outpouring of love we have received over the last few days is overwhelming. We always knew how special our dad was, but seeing the love he spread to all of you has been comforting. He was a great husband, father and grandfather.
Our hearts are shattered, but we have so much to celebrate. No more tears, sadness, or pain. Heaven gained an amazing angel Monday, and Dad will never be forgotten on earth. God is good, All the time, and we know dad was welcomed into the Kingdom with open arms.

We invite you to come celebrate our dad and his life, to share our favorite memories and stories of a wonderful man.❤️

With Barry, a/k/a ShaiJAck, I never knew which Marauder he was bringing to lunch. We usually met at VooDoo BBQ.

A few members asked me to reach out to Barry's family and tell them that our community is thinking and praying for them. I wanted to share with all of you the reply:
" Thanks, I can't wait to share this with mom❤️
For the kids and I, there's moments and days of tears, and then some laughter and smiles of wonderful memories of an amazing man. There's a void in our lives now and we're still navigating how to go on about our lives without dad.
Mom is really struggling. She's so very sad.
Prayers are appreciated. And thank everyone for reaching out. It's comforting to know y'all are thinking of dad and us. "
