I've got a black one, wanted to avoid painting it to match current color because I'll eventually be changing colors and don't want to paint it twice. It's a Vic (not cloning though) so no angst of painting a Marauder another color LOL...how much do you want for that one if I end up having to paint one? The other one is for the friend who busted his up...I didn't see him post on the site so I figured I'd try to expand his search...

if you are painting it, why not just use a vic one? the locator hole for the emblem can easily by filled. Marauder parts are hard enough to come by when WE need them.

fyi, marauder trunk panels go for $250+..most cv owners dont want to pay premium for them. far cheaper tk paint a used cv one. and yes, i do get defensive when people want marauder parts for a non marauder. ins. companies total these cars out with min. damage cause parts are obsolete.

It is not a personal attack. The point is why would you spend more on a part from a Marauder when you can get the same basic part cheaper from a CV that belongs on an CV. Not that you can't do that and heck if that's what you want great. But speaking from someone with an interest in a variety of cars it is nice when folks keep parts form a specific model car to those cars.

I also realize now from what I can tell you are actually helping a friend buy this part for their Marauder. But that was not clear in your first post.

Since then this thread has gone right to the level of console pegs.

If I had a cv I would probably put a mm front cover on it. It looks a lot better than the cv front. Repops are out there for a reasonable price too. It will also require a gm/mm header panel and grille. And headlights/marker lights. Maybe the bumper support will need cut down, too.
