Hello,

does anyone have the ford part number for the blend door actuator? And also is there anywhere I can get a better price. I called the local dealership and they quoted $100. I saw this one an amazon:

https://www.amazon.com/Motorcraft-YH-1800-Blend-Actuator-Motor/dp/compatibility-chart/B004A2GTWM

would that work?

but am not sure if I would be better off going through stealership. I know I dont want this going out ever again...

There are 2 different actuators, 1 for cars with ETAC and one without.

don't buy a non ford one, you'll do it again one day

Thank you. How long did it take to replace?

By all means get a Motorcraft one. Aftermarket ones like Dorman will fail again. They are usually about $75.00.

If you do it right it should take no more than 3 - 4 hours. The ones I do take the full 4 hours because I clean every part I take off. You'll be amazed at the amount of dust, dirt and gunk that are behind the panels and in the parts you remove.

I used OEM and only paid $53 shipped from rockauto - looks like they only have Dorman ones in stock now, but if you google you will find other sites. I see one on amazon for $48 shipped. Part number is Motorcraft YH-1766

Like replacing the BCM, I found it to not be nearly as big of a deal as it is made out to be (no I don't have teeny hands). Of course other jobs were much more involved for me than they seemed to be for others :D

As I've heard others say, take it slow and be patient, as soon as you get pissed off is when it turns into a PITA. I think it took a few hours first time - don't remember what I took off of dash but it wasn't that much

Get it from rockauto and use the site's discount, it will be about 60 something. Only buy Motorcraft.
Last Sunday I replaced it on CJ's boosted DTR Marauder, took me 2 hours.
