That was the shot in arm America needed.

Here is a picture I took of one of our local B-25's.

With any luck I will get a few more pictures of this great plane this summer.

Near the end of next month I'm going up in a B17 and a B25 out at Moffett Airfield near Mountain View,CA. at my son's treat for my birthday.
Last year he went up in the B17 and loved it,then went up in the only dual control P51 Mustang in the world that's still flying.
He missed the chance to go up in the B25 so we'll do that together this year.

I usually do the same on Memorial Day at the Livermore airport with them. Did the B-17 and the B25. Pricey but a fun experience.

If you think the bombers are pricey they're the "cheap seats'(lol) compared to the P51 at $2500-$5000 per flight. My son said it reeked badly of fuel and the turbulence over the mountains near the ocean nearly cost him his lunch. He did get to take over the controls but by then he didn't have the "stomach" for more than a roll or two.He did manage to keep his chow down but he stated emphatically sticking his head above the fuselage of the B17 during his flight in it was the most fun thing he'd ever done.

Here the story. It's one of the better Wiki explanations I've read about historical stuff.

Here one I took at an air show back in 2015. One of my favorite WWII movies in 30 Seconds Over Tokyo.
