My daily driver which is a 2004 F150 FX4 was rear-ended on Monday while I was at a dead stop by a Kia Forte doing about 65 miles an hour. The Kia as you can imagine was completely destroyed and my truck was still drivable. However due to the frame damage my guess is the truck will be totaled. Now I'm stuck driving my beloved 2003 dark blue pearl until Enterprise finally gets off their ass and gets me a rental. Do you guys think it will be totaled?https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170619/4966d8891cc5e7505cd8e3043045b8 09.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170619/993963c354cfa1f6324dfb3bfba361 ed.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170619/6aa472d869f869e77bf6baee5f8603 c4.jpg

Trucks hold value. Plus the car that hit you had frame horns lower and all the tender parts were what slowed it down. Totalled? hard to say until after the bed comes off.

The only reason I'm thinking it's going to be totaled is the rear frame horn is tucked under and the leaf spring perches are compromised and there's a wide gap between the cab and bed at the top and its narrow at the bottom

Wow, I'm surprised the frame was bent. My 2001 F150 has been rear ended twice, totalled the other cars but just broke my tail light lens.

I think the only reason I got frame damage is because when he finally got off his phone and looked up and seen he was going to hit me he tried to go in the other lane and just caught me in the right rear corner it picked the back end up and almost turned it over on the side. I'm surprised that bent the frame to being that it's fully boxed

Yeah I was sore as you could possibly imagine. Working in a Ford factory definitely doesn't help LOL

First, thier fault, thier dime, rent the same size same class car you owned that was hit, I.e. A new Ford F-150.

Doing so will ensure thier company moves quickly and efficiently, and meets your demands.

I was hit in my perfect beautiful older Mercedes... And their insurance tried to rent me a tiny metro. I fought with them and asked for the same class of car that I owned (luxury) and drove off in a new Lincoln off the lot... 42 days letter, on thier dime... (At $68 per day plus insurance). they fixed (not totaled) my Mercedes at the shop of my choosing, I.e. the nicest most expensive shop and in town.

Not saying to take advantage, just to fight for equalness in what transpires.
