My MM is semi retired, haven't driven it in a few weeks. Pulled it out of the garage last weekend, running very rough. Opened the hood and happened to touch the driver's side valve cover and was shocked with a pretty good voltage!
Coil packs have been replaced in the last few years, could one be grounded (or not grounded)?
Comments are appreciated.

Check the COP connections and harness under the COP covers.

Finally had a chance to look as the MM is not a daily driver. Spark plug blow out as Zack predicted...likely that my mechanic (ex) didn't torque when replacing the coil packs.
What's the next step? Insert?
Thanks.

Arnt they only tightened to like 12 ft lbs. Wouldn't You have to leave them real loose for that to occur?

Insert is really the only choice.

I'd check the threads first. If bad then insert needed. I believe Time-Serts are recommended.

OK time to fix it. Can anyone tell me which time-sert is needed? (Thread, pitch etc.)
Thanks,
Jim

Time sert or lock-n-stitch are the recommended inserts, I loaned my tool out with inserts or I'd have the part number.

Lji_372 has it, maybe Jerry will chime in with the part #.
