To our dear friends and neighbors: Happy Canada Day.

My wife and I enjoyed incredible hospitality last year when we crossed Canada by train (Toronto to Vancouver), Everyone we met on our two week journey were special in our hearts. We did fall in love with several cities. Winnipeg has a beautiful botanical garden near the train station. We walked though the garden for several hours while the train picked up supplies. Jasper was a gem, especially at night when the sky revealed itself. And finally, there was Victoria. Our hotel was on the water. Joanne and I walked the coastline and in the city. Watching float planes come and go all day, and ships pull in and out of the harbor made it a special place in our memory.
