It has been so wet here the last few weeks the bugs are horrendous! It rained yesterday so couldn't mow so came home early today to do it or would be 3' high by Saturday. You know what a microscope slide teeming with bacteria looks like, millions of little squiggly things packed tightly together? That's what the air around me looked like when I was just mowing - only with mosquitoes! I could have had Ridley Scott film a syfi movie in my yard! Billions of mosquitoes! I am not exaggerating what it looked like! Then I hit the area under the mulberry tree... OMG! They quadrupled in volume! It looked like a snowplow throwing snow in front of it! This is insane, I may have to have the yard sprayed! https://mail.google.com/mail/e/1f637https://mail.google.com/mail/e/1f631https://mail.google.com/mail/e/1f61d

Skeeters were pretty bad here 2 weeks ago, but they seem to have tapered off some in the last few days. Been very hot and humid, but no rain until today.
The city bug spray truck came by this evening and fogged the housing area. It's been hot, humid, but dry, mid ninety's and up, no rain in the near to mid future.

That's nuts. They haven't been bad here at all. We have a mess of frogs and lizards in our area that must keep the population down. Seriously, you should consider raising bats. They're great for mosquito control.

Not normal, just from unnaturally wet conditions.
Would need a bat population of 1,500,000 to make a dent in the skeeters out there now!

Buy all your neighbors bug zappers, but don't get one for your yard. Works great. :D

Do they still make 'YardGuard' spray?
We would 'fog' the back yard before a BBQ with that stuff, and it would wipe out ANY & ALL mosquitoes.
Probably illegal now because it worked so well.
