I got to the back of the car today; everything under the hood and front end finished. RSB and control arms and rear end this morning.

Thought this would be quick, but I've had a stuck rotor for hours now. I've tried everything except heat. Last trick was to run bolts through the caliper threads from the backside, which pushed the rotor out almost 2 full inches. I stopped when the bolt started to bend.

After a can of PB blaster I can manually move the rotor at least 3/8" off of every stud, and rock it back and forth clockwise/reverse (it makes a clicking sound when I do that.)

I see at least 3/16 movement back and forth front to back on the rotor/hub connection.

I'm out of ideas. This is the OEM rotor from 2003. Fronts came right off.

It's just like there's another bolt behind it holding it on, which wouldn't surprise me at this point.

Out of ideas here, so thanks for any of your own.

Been there...they are a PAIN! I've had success hitting the rotor on opposite sides (Ex. 12:00 & 6:00 then 9:00 & 3:00) with a mallet for a while. Seems to knock the crud out and shock it loose. Then use the straw that comes with the PB Blaster and spray a bunch in the little gaps where the studs go through the rotor. Let it sit for 15min. or so and hit it with the mallet some more. Then try grabbing and pulling on the edges of the rotor. Just went through it on my Town Car. These are the rotors that came from the factory when the car was new?

Yes, thanks, tried all that hammering and more.

Spectragod, that was it. Practically fell off in my hands. I NEVER use that brake on level ground, so of course knew it wasn't set. It was.

Just hope I didn't screw something up with the hub with all that pounding, or damage the parking brake.

(This is one of those " I feel like an idjit" moments.)

Thanks again. [emoji1531]

Common issue, the brake self adjusts, over time a groove gets wore in the inside, and, it catches the shoes, its gotten me too, good luck with the rest of your brakes
