I need a new Wax for the Black.

I used to use an older Meguiar's cleaner wax that came in a dark red/brick colored bottle that I loved. Found some at a Walmart in St Louis that I used on the Matador Red CVSport and it worked its' magic.

I've tried the turtle wax black kit--don't like it much it leaves different black color(s) and doesn't seem/look as clean. I use Titanium on the SB but don't like it much on the Black. Anything better than the Meguiar's cleaner wax?

Need to wash n wax the Black. He hasn't really been out all year :(

Looking for deep black look, smooth feel, and to cover/fill in/hide any small scratches..

What happened with the "8 coats of zymoil Titanium" you use on it?

I wet sanded the blisters on my car but I have white lines where they were. (At least they aren't raised anymore.) I want to fill them in with black paste of some kind but nothing I have found works.

For minor stuff I'm pretty impressed with Mequiars new spray wax.

They are on there.... but Titanuium is too hard to apply, too hard to take off, too hard to work with, and I am not feeling the love anymore. Looking for something better, something that makes the black sing.... And as I said, I found the Old Meguiar's Cleaner wax on sale, used it on the red, and it was amazing!

Have you used Meguiar's Quick Detailer between uses of Meguiar's Cleaner wax?

I find that paste wax just leaves greasy swirls and fills in even slight imperfections with white all over, especially on black. The spray mist wax detailers are really good, and you can even do trim and glass with some of them. No dust, no swirls, no globs of wax in crevices and on rubber, etc.

If someone could invent a spray or something that filled in the tiny scratches and chips with black they would make millions.

As crappy as some may think it is, the turtle wax black box kit was what I found to leave my car the deepest black. If it lasted longer it would be great.

I've used Mequiars Cleaner Wax for many years, but for black cars...I use Castle Seal & Glaze Wax.

http://www.castlepackspower.com/index.cfm?Page=Castle%20Seal%2 0Glaze

Hard to find. I used to buy it from a guy in Westminster, Md.
Not sure if he is still around or not.

The stuff is awesome on black paint.
People would ask me who repainted my '85 GT Mustang and when I responded 'that it was OEM Ford paint', they would say : :bs:
Everybody thought that I had a custom, mile deep paint job.

Zaino doesn't leave any residue. You can wipe it on plastic mouldings and weatherstriping and it dries clear. It also gives a great shine that last a long time if you use the clear seal. My car looks like a black mirror on wheels. :P

Maybe try this for paint chips...................

I've never tried it so don't know how it works.

I've used Black Box and it was a LOT of work. Results were good but not OMG. Didn't last long.

I read the Zaino instructions. Lots of work too. Don't think it will hide white scratches and nicks.

1500 wet sand and 3M machine polish buff is the best thing I've done to the paint, ever.
I also bought the paint sealant dealers use because I had bird crap etch into the hood I just had painted last year. I just wish it was black like shoe polish and stayed put in the nicks, etc.

Blackfire Wet Diamond paint sealant. Best for black bar none and couldnt be easier to apply. I know I had a side business detailing other peoples cars for 8 years not to mention I have 3 black vehicles myself. I hate black but love it whens its clean....for 2 minutes.

Duragloss 105 10$ a bottle, quick detail with their aqua wax or quick detailer between washes. Very very easy to use. I don't have a lot to time to waste using products that require 20 applications over 3 days.

The duragloss on the blue (sold to Kernie, a member here) , their 105 TOTAL protection polish works great on a ll colors.

The black before the duragloss, this is when I got the car and had it delivered. It had been sitting neglected. Nano skin auto scrub mitt, better than any claybar, period! Then dura gloss 105, took less than 3 hours to do. See previous pics for aftershots.

My little guy has grown up too, now 22, thinks the black is his!

Your day is coming!

I am a huge Adam's Polishes fan. They make great products that are easy enough to use that any skill level can use them.

I have pretty much their full line and the results are great. In my opinion the next step up would be buying direct from Warner Chemical and mixing my own products.

Ok, so what is the latest verdict? Car show coming up... Titanium is way to hard to work with, results are great, but effort and time spend are not.

Mothers paste wax. Have to be slow and careful or your spend hours getting it out of cracks. Or use liquid wax but doesn't leave a deep shine like the paste. Depends on how much time you want to spend, all day vs a couple hours

Does the car color really matter you are polishing the same clear coat on all ?

Absolutely amazing black mirror! The 3M stuff is very light duty and damn near impossible to hurt the paint.

You can somewhat hide scuffs with the messy black “miracle wax” or remove them with these products.
