Driver side just went out, and the last time I had them fixed was 2016, shop used "9006 6000K".

Does this sound right?

Any good sites?

I would pull the bulb and look at it so you order the correct ones

eBay sells bulbs cheap

No, H1 is correct.

No, H1 is correct.

+1 on this. H1 is correct. You can find LED or HID H1 bulbs at various retailers.

H1 is the original halogen bulb for the foglights. You'd be hard opressed to fit and H1 HID bulb into the foglight housing.

I use different HID bulbs when I convert the foglights.

OP...

A few things - Check the ballast connections as this may be the "failure".

The ballast may possibly be bad.

If it is the bulb I'd buy two bulbs and replace both as there are variations in the colors temperatures.

If the foglights are white it could be that a 5K or 6K bulb was used.

BTW... I can replace the bulbs with new ballasts if needed.

H1 HIDs typically use the metal pin to hold it in place, instead of the swivel plastic thing. I believe there is another bulb option that can be modified to fit, and I'm leaning towards 9006.

Sound advice. For all my lighting needs, I like Retrofit Source (https://www.theretrofitsource.com/) site.

Shop here in Columbus had one, mission complete.

I think I'll switch to LED's soon.

You won't be happy with the light output.

What's wrong with halogen foglight bulbs? They get so little use anyway, they practically last forever. Plus, in truly adverse weather, they light up the near road adequately without obscuring your forward sight.
I imagine hid foglights in heavy fog are about as useful as high beams - if you've ever shone your high beams in thick fog, you'll know what I'm referring to.

I converted to 15-17 Mustang LED fog lights. Good output and a good color.

Nothing wrong with halogen unless you've upgraded to HID in the headlights. The difference is night (yellow) and day (bright white).

HID fogs just need to be adjusted a bit lower.

LED puts out far less light, especially downrange. Buy 55 watt HID from Retrofit Source (https://www.theretrofitsource.com/) and greater light output over LED. If you can afford them, nothing beats projector HIDs.

Laser lighting is the future (3rd review).

Use use 35w HIDs.

Why? 55 watt puts out enormous light.
