Check Engine light on

I have a 2009 Lincoln MKS 3.7. My check engine light is on, and I pulled a code PO442. What code is this, and what part do I need to correct it.

That Lincoln should be cap less, most normal cause... leaving the car running while filling up

Shut it off when fueling. Get the code erased to see if it comes back.

Since this is an emissions items, it has a 6 year 100,000
warranty at the dealer. I'm assume you had the gas lid closed
when this code popped up?

I recently got the same code for a 2008 vehicle. Every time I got gas I had to disconnect the battery afterwards to clear the code. A new gas cap and I've been good for the last 6 months.
