They do look cool....
and I thought that Jesel wanted too much money for their $3,000+ roller cam followers!

They don't come with a built motor bolted to the bottom of them? That's a lot of money. What's the horse power gain on those? Or your horse power to $ ratio on those.

They make your car lighter & quicker....
... because of the amount of weight that they remove from your wallet!

They would really tie your Marauder build together. You should get them.

Speaking of the Jesel followers, has anybody tried them?

I just checked and they are now up to $3,800+.....
They are supposed to add 20 - 30 HP, but for almost $4,000, they would have to install themselves and adjust their own lash!
Just think....for only $6,500 you could have a neat set of cam followers and cam covers.
:hmmm: .... I wonder what kind of followers they are running in the new 7,500 rpm '18 Coyote....?

Where/Who did you buy them from?
JPC racing (about 10 minutes from me) sells a full set of them for $3,875.
Either way....it's a crazy price for rocker arms.

I believe they are about beauty; not performance. KC of BRG Racing shared they probably took 20-26 hrs of machine time to get the finished look.

All parts came from Jesel. The followers are your price. I was mixing in others parts - my bad.
Crazy is correct, but I need every advantage possible to beat Fordnut's NA record of 378 rwhp.

All parts came from Jesel: rockers, followers, lifters. The price you quote sounds like the followers alone.

If beating his n/a record was the goal why didn’t you just use higher compression pistons? You could simply pull the engine and change them out when you boost it. There is No difference cash or time involved to achieve your goal.

Huh?
Simple?
Changing pistons, especially in a mod motor, is not like changing your socks.
Plus with different pistons you would have to rebalance the rod/piston combo.

I've been CNC machining parts for over 45 years and I think the machine marks on those are hideous. Looks like someone just learned to use Mastercam and used a straightup waterline routine. For that price I would think they could have at least been a little more creative. I'm curious as to what the underside looks like.

I see all the machining marks and what looks to be the oil fill inlet? which is on the wrong side for marauder..Better make sure they fit with pvc and oil fill routing before buying $$ I dont' know the differences in the 5.4 and 4.6 as it is based on the heads used.

Figure a LOT of CNC machining hours plus 2 big aluminum ingots that get whittled away to almost nothing ....all for under $3,000!

I would love to know the drugs you people are on thinking it is okay to pay that kind of money for cam covers. SMH. I have entire running and driving presentable vehicle's that cost less than this!

Proof if you build it they will come.
I guess the same people who buy rolexs etc.
I personally like bang for my buck.
But to each his own. :dunno:

I do not believe they fit our motors. I just admire the beauty.

It is not about buying; it's about appreciation for the craftsmanship. I would never pay the money for a Chris-Craft boat (http://www.antiqueboatsales.com/AntiqueAndClassicWoodBoatsForS ale.html), but I appreciate the workmanship and beauty.

Exactly. The CnC hours are estimated at 20-26 from a skilled machinist.

That's why you do lights out machining..no operator needed while its running. Every shop I'm at does it. and that's after 3D modeling and generating tool paths with all the various cutters needed. Thats not a piece you throw in a milling vice and program at the machine

Joe, was going the sarcastic route there with the high end rockers, billet valve covers, n/a tune (just for the record), then boost tune for the all the fun.

My bad....I thought that after I posted.
Yes, nothing like close to $10,000 for cam followers, cam covers and a tune!
