I love that place!!!!!! I've never won anywhere but The Grand- If you get a chance, go to Memphis and see the Elvis auto museum at Graceland.

Oh yeah this will end well. You pull into town in a $30K car and leave in a $200K bus.

It's worth it, Dan...gambling in Mississippi is a unique experience. The last time I was there- I saw a man dragging around an oxygen cart with a nose tube while he was smoking- I have no idea why his head didn't explode...You can't see stuff like that just anywhere...

I love the way they get around the "gambling casino must not be built on land" rule.

For those who have never been there, the casinos are built about three feet from the shore line and are anchored into the muck.

It's like crossing a three foot bridge over a moat, although in many instances, you don't even know you're on a bridge. You leave the hotel lobby (on dry land) and walk into the casino and never know that you passed over water.

That's the best point about my present job; I get to see a lot of places, some I like (San Fran/Anchorage/London) and some I don't (Saudi Arabia in the 70's; a lot safer back then, but still the pits).

I believe the casinos on barges that sort of float. It must be intersting when the river floods considering they are on the wrong side of the levy. It is a different experance, don't forget your jar of pickled eggs. You want see that in Vegas.

I was in Vegas in the 70s and saw an interesting phenomenon. There were dozens of old women at the slots wearing cotton work gloves so that they could pull the lever and avoid blisters. I figure if I'm throwing the money away so fast it gives me blisters I should rethink my hobbies.

I'm a local here in Tunica and would love to meet some of you guys when you visit here. The casinos are great and we are beginning to have other things to do here also if you need a break from the tables and slots. Send me a message and we'll see if we can get together. My maurader gets lonely down here. Not many owners in the mid south area. We're making plans to go to MM2 but it would be great to meet some other owners before  then.

Great to see a fellow Mississippian. Grew up in McComb--left in 1946---was back home last year. Enjoy your Marauder--you will really be impressed with the group at MV II--had the pleasure of attending MV I and can't miss this year's meet---Drive with restraint (I know that's hard to do) see you in INdy, Maury

Did you go to Harrah's? As a poker player, it's all about the 10/20 Texas Hold 'em in the poker room at Harrah's!

We stay at the Sheraton and pretty much gamble there since they give us all the freebees. We mainly play slots I don't want to think on vacation.

Cruzer, a buddy of mine from Brookhaven is supposed to come to MVII with me.That's down close to MCcomb. Look forward to meeting you. mcb26, Glad you had a good trip. Tunica has really changed the last ten years, with more on the way. Nascar track, water park, and a "covered"golf course, whatever that is are under construction.Give me a shout when you are back down this way.
