Okay I've got an oil pressure test kit hooked up and I'm trying to find out what the oil pressure should be once warmed up at idle. I have the SVT Cobra engine in my car all forged internals. Right now it's showing 14-15 psi warmed up.

Around 25PSI is where mine sits.

So 13 to 14 PSI is on the low side then right? The reason I got it low pressure test kit is because the aftermarket auto oil gauge when the car is warmed up always reads 0 and I asked the guy i bought the car from. Anout it he said it's done that since the engine was installed. He said that was around 70,000 miles ago, or so. Now once you start driving and getting to RPM little raised up to round 20 and 30. Now with the oil test kit it showed 14 to 15 warmed up at idle and at 2000 RPM around 40 PSI

Anyone else with built engine have any info give?

My engine when started up cold would read close to 75 psi at high idle. Once it was warmed up at normal idle it would read 10 - 15 psi. I thought that was kind of low, but as soon as you revved it up above idle...it would show plenty of pressure.
There is almost no load on the engine at idle. You want plenty of oil pressure as the revs build.

It seems low under all circumstances. There are factors though, which oil pump, high volume or not, viscosity, how fresh and grade, thermostat 170 or 180 when up to temp. But 60/80 when driving 30/40 at idle.

My oil pressure stays right around 14 15 PSI totally warmed up at idle and give it throttle it stays steady and climbs so it looks like it's doing its job. At 3000 RPMs it says 65 PSI warmed up.
Anything above 7psi is fine

Mine is around 12 -15 at idle almost 80 when cold 40 - 60 at revs when warm

A good rule of thumb is 10 psi per 1000 rpm. Idle oil pressure sounds okay to me.

Is you oil filter in the normal place or is it remote??
I had a remote setup and lost about 10 PSI due to the length of lines!!

Stock engined MM w/ 90+k miles.
Cold over 100PSI
Warm at idle 20PSI

I recommend you check your gauge against a known source like a tire pressure gauge or the gauge on your air compressor. I've seen more than a few oil pressure gauges that weren't even close; especially service gauges.
