I’m having trouble with my a/c not getting cold sometimes 20 minutes into the drive, it never has ever since I got it, but I have put in a used eatc in about a month back, I’ve visually confirmed ac compressor not engaged for the duration of blowing hot air, but once it kicks in it’s fine does not seem to cycle on and off just stays on, low side pressure hangs out at 50 in a 90 degree day

My system was 1oz too full and it did the same

Had mine sucked, cleaned, and blows ice cold now

Well let some gas out and seems to work better I may dig the old vacuum pump out and recharge it, anyone know how many ounces they call for

You actually need high and low side psi to determine what is actually happening.

I believe it is written on a decal under the hood, its 36 or 38oz total. Its been a year and no ac issues with my fleet this year... knock on wood

Well it’s recharged and still doing it I’m wondering if I don’t have a pressure switch doing something funny

Try running the EATC self test. You might have a lazy Blend Door Actuator.

Brings back code 052

An 052 code is: A/C solar radiation sensor circuit short to ground

Has there been any work done to the car recently?

The sensor is in the PATS light in the top of the dash - left side.

No work to the car, just replaced the eatc unit with junkyard part
