I drive mine almost once a month, except when it snows or rains or there's salt on the road. But mostly I don't drive it because I keep taking it apart. :depress:
My CVPI with only 158k miles is my daily driver.

Purchased July 6, 2002 - just shy of 34,000 miles. Not the only car in the family, but the one that goes to the most places (as well as work on a daily basis). Shines up just as good as the day I brought it home.

Yep - This is my daily driver. The Lightning is the nice weather toy.

Having said that, I car pool with someone else, so if I'm lucky, I'll be riding in the passenger seat of a Windstar, on the bad weather days. Really, there were only a couple of days this winter where I wouldn't have wanted to drive, and it wouldn't have mattered much what car I had...

I agree with jobrien8, just an excuse to wash it more...

Drive it whenever I get a chance 'cause it's so much fun, but use the company van to commute to work, about 250 miles. Even drove it in the snow a couple of times, just be careful! Got about 27k mi on it since 12-26-02 (my Christmas present to ME).

Only on the nicest days or long trips. I baby my MM too much. With the rain and construction in front of my office, I haven't driven my MM in 3 weeks. Brought home new 12-8-03, then stored for winter. Now it has 4800 miles on it.

Yup, 20K+ miles and counting . . .

This brings up something I've been thinking about recently . . .

Yes, this is my daily driver. And we do go on a lot of road trips on weekends with the car . . . San Francisco, Las Vegas, the mountains, national parks, etc. I've had the car exactly one year and three months, and the odometer just tripped 20,000 miles last month (Also, this is my only car and my girlfriend doesn't drive). So . . . in say, five years from now, I'll have maybe 100,000+ miles on the car. Will it be an "old" car by then? Will it be obvious that I need to repaint? Will the undercarriage start squeaking from mysterious, impossible-to-localize places? Will the little things that fail at that mileage start driving me mad, making me yearn for that new 2010 supercar?

If I had the money, I'd run out and buy a new 2004 Marauder and shrinkwrap it for later. It doesn't make sense for me to buy a second car (well, maybe that '03 Mach 1) as a daily driver, since the whole point for me owning the Marauder is that I love to be in it as much as possible. A second Marauder for her wouldn't make sense either--it's too big for her to park, and it would cost too much in gas for her commute.

I'm not sure what the solution is . . .

Almost daily. Becuase I work so much and work is only 1.5 miles away. Miles dont add up much. Picked it up 08/06/02. Mileage to date below. About the last year I splitt time useing Dads 2000 S-10. Better mileage and yes for a Chevy, Its not a bad ride. Hes retired and after surgery dont like to drive that much anyway.

Mine is definetly a daily driver since I bought it in November, it has 6,000 miles on it.

Sadly I find myself driving the Marauder in the rain or snow 80% of the time. I can hardly keep the damn thing clean. My Corvette gets the nod on nice days. If I had more than a 2 car garage, I would defiently pick up a secondary beater and keep the Marauder out of the snow, salt, city, etc...

Its my daily ride. I bought it new 19 months ago and I ujst turned 15,000 this week on it. The only time I don't use it is if it snows to the point where I don't feel safe in it, so I take the wife's car then.

Yep, its a pain to keep clean, especially whne I'm washing it in a 45 degree garage in mid-January. Now that'll cause shrinkage.

Bought mine on 9-03 with 4000 miles on it as a demo… it now has about 20K on it. I drive it every day with the 4.10’s, Nittos in the rear and the 13.8psi -- Trilogy blower since about 7K or 8K miles on it. Gets about 15-18mpg in town and about 21-22 on the HWY. Just got back from NJ with it last week and went to FL with it back in March for a Ford race. Wont be driving any thing else daily for a long time.

I wish I could reserve it as a fair weather car, but I cant bring myself to do that. Its just to fun with the gears and the blower on a day to day basis. Although it doesn’t see any snow.

Thanks

I believe you! Even with 1/2" it's not much fun.
You really need to get the Michelin snow tires on the steel rims. It saves the OEM wheels and would prolong the life of the super soft BFG's. I was able to plow through as much as 5 inches of snow up some of the mountains around here in it. I've got to think in the mid-west where its flatter, it would be big help also.

Daily driver in the spring, summer, and fall. With the amount of snow we get up here it would be impossible to drive it, so I have a 89 Bronco for winters. I bought the Marauder in Dec 2003 and have 5200 miles so far. :D

Bought snow package, never used it in the snow. Mainly got them just in case I got stuck out of town on a trip and it snowed. It happened the first week I had the MM, thus I know how bad the OEM tires are in the snow.

At home, the MM never goes out to play if the forecast looks bad!

We average driving our '04 one day a week to work (because it's an 85 mile round trip daily). Bought it in mid November of last year, currently has 3300 miles. A 1200 mile round trip to Tampa in June is planned and no way I'm going to be able to avoid taking the Marauder-just WAY too much fun out on the highways. Took it to a local "Cruise-in" Saturday evening and en route I looked in my rear view mirror and ahead of me and decided to kick it in (for the first time since we bought it). Was doing 105 mph before I could blink. The negative side-put $25 worth of BP Premium gas in it on the way home and it moved the gauge exactly 1/2 tank. Yet another reason not to drive daily:)

Bought mine July 04. After 1500 miles on the car I took it on a 5K trip from Florida to Mass-NY-PA-OH-KY and home. Presently have 16K on the clock. This is one of the best cars I have ever owned! Planning another trip to Mass this summer for business and some time with my mother on Cape Cod. Hope to meet some of the members on the trip. This upcoming trip will be a bit different since the Procharger install this past March by CarFixer. Also will have the Kooks exhaust sytem and shift kit in the car. Can't wait for the ride and smokin some imports and Chevy's. Hope to get with some of you guys on the trip.

Any Marauder owner is welcome to take my car for a ride no matter what blower, Nitrous or N/A car. Just want to share some other choices.
