Looks like Chrysler will go the way of Plymouth, Pontiac, Olds & Mercury.
Re-badge the Pacifica as a Dodge & its history.
F/C may pull Fiat out of the US too, which is smart as they were smoking crack to think they could manufacture in the US and have enough sales to make it work... :shake:

Are sales really that bad or is everyone 'pre positioning' for the predicted 'depression'?:help:

I love my Jeep Grand Cherokee. I've had one from each generation.

No, no one is buying cars.
SUVs and trucks are selling like mad and cars are selling so poorly they are creating massive losses for the manufacturers.
No one is buying cars due to popularity of SUV combined with the fact the cars being produced are **** and look like crap (which contributes to SUV purchases)
Jeep, Dakota and Ram trucks have been carrying the entire company
They’re dumping Chrysler because the only thing selling is the Pacifica. They’ll rebadge the Pacifica under Dodge

Which is comical because they could sell the Grand Cherokee as the Chrysler Trailmaster but people would only buy the Jeep, most without even knowing it's a Chrysler product.

Actually, there are plenty of cars that look pretty good, and most CUVs look like crap, but people love to "sit up high", and the more people in front of you sitting up high, the more you want to sit up high, until everybody's sitting up high, and then we all might as well be in cars again.

+1 on this. ^^^ Until the gas prices go through the roof like they did in 2008 and then people will go looking for smaller cars again.

Hard to sell cars when the ones you sell date back to the Daimler ownership era. Same thing with Ford. They have neglected their car lines so they could concentrate on SUVs and trucks.

Here's a good article on this. Sad to see the brand go due to incompetent management, especially with Dodge cars doing so well. I was waiting to see if an srt 300 was coming again..

Auto manufacturers are well known for making wise, timely market decisions.
