Regarding my marauder I had trouble with the rear axle shaft and the bearings. Three times once in 2009 and again in 2015 and the third time 50,000 miles and three years later the left axle shaft went bad and the bearings also. The third time a lot of fluid got all over their brakes and rotors in the back. I never drive the car hard Just normal driving on the highway and around town. I don’t loaded down with any heavy things either. Is this something other owners experienced? with their cars. Could it be that the more powerful engine takes a toll on the axle shafts. They should’ve toughened up the rear axle on the car when they put the more powerful engine in versus the regular crown Victoria. Maybe my car just had a weak point

Thank you for the thread about the Wii or end of the car. I never got a notice when my car was a new just bought about that technical service bulletin. I wonder if they thought the Vin number of my car didn’t qualify for a recall

The recall I read many moons ago said it was for fleet vehicles only. When mine went bad I ordered the repair kit for the recall and had it installed. It came with both axles all the bearings and rear end lube.
