On the MM the drivers window went down 2", then a crushing sound like breaking glass.

I pulled it back up and it moved up freely.

A search looks like window glass, motors and regulators are available.

Anyone have a particular brand or a source they can recc .

Thank you.

I've had to replace the motor and window guide on the CVSport. Glas came out of track and broke the corner attach places.

I replaced glass and motor and frame unit.

Buy the best quality replacement entire unit (motor plus new guide/frame).

I think mine was Dorman brand. Was around $60.

Dorman window regulators are warranted forever. You'll need to punch out the 1/4 rivets that attach the glass to the track and the regulator to the door metal. Or you can use 1/4" nuts and bolts. I have the rivets and gun because I've gutted my doors for sound insulation.

I just had this happen today on the way to work. Heard the breaking glass sounds and the window dropped. Have you taken yours apart to see what it was?

The glass is fine. When the windows break they will shatter into a a million pieces and it sounds like a shotgun went off.

Your regulator took a dump.

Replace the regulator & motor as an assembly.

I get mine at A1Auto.com

This is a 4 piece set.

I have ordered the one for my Drivers Door. Hopefully the others won't break anytime soon. With this issue, I have collected the entire set. Every one of my vehicles is broken somehow. At least this, while annoying, is still drive able.

I just replaced the Driver Rear regulator/motor combo with a World Power System brand from Rock Auto. I figure they're all made in China so I didn't buy the most expensive one.
