I got the pleasure of watching Jeff Harris (Shankin (http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/member.php?u=1804) on our board here) and "Tech Extraordinaire" at Team Ford of Marietta Dyno tuning his HOT Mustang yesterday. He was being helped by Steve Petty, Master Engine Builder from Steve Petty Racing (builder of the World's Fastest Outlaw Mustang).

Man...RAW power at it's BEST!!!

Looks like a Turbo!

Just watch for the retained heat and under hood temperatures. Suggest several sensors placed under the hood for before and after readings.

Let's put it this way...some folks posted about the airshow, with the Blue Angels that were performing at Dobbins AFB across the street from Team Ford last month....well....I thought they were back in town.

Shankin took the Turbo monster to the 1/8th mile tonight...his first time with the new engine....

Uh...he and Steve Petty know how to build some cars...

Best time = 6.06 sec. at 122 MPH w/a 1.51 60'

That's why I'm proud to say..."He's one of the guys looking after my car!"

Holy crap! The home built funny cars (whatever they're called) with the huge pipes coming from the top and all that run the 1/8 over in Greer were running between 120-130! They were REALLY FAST. Of course REALLY LOUD.
