So what has happen is.... one of my spark plugs blew out driver side head.
While i was already in the process of scheduling some time with a local shop to have the heads pulled to replace the valve steam seals and lash adjusted and possibly the timing guides and chains.

With this now happening, what are my options on for replacement heads? used, rebuilt or having my heads rebuilt and re-weld new threads ? Cobra, Mach 1 heads?

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

while doing some online searching i found Jegs has these listed

all they have to do is put a thread repair kit in it, its pretty common

make sure they dont use oem plastic tensioners and go to the metal ones instead

Do the timesert and drive it. No need to pull the heads.

Metal tensioners from rock auto and guides from tasca

Ford dealer did mine. They put a sleeve in it. Get the Motorcraft
repair kit for your local dealer or online.
