My final employment was with a contractor for DTNA (Daimler Trucks North America). We maintained an office around the corner at the Sterling plant, which closed in April, 2009. My final employment was long and difficult, with mixed memories - glad to be retired.

the thing that really pissed me off is how ford sent the last one made overseas!
They should have kept it or gave a group of people a chance to buy it like us then donate it to the Smithsonian,
Who remembers theseCheap ass Lorain Assembly and Ohio Assembly didn't put their name on ours!
On a different note, Finally bought my first new vehicle since I purchased my MM on 6/26/02. What a change in technology, Debbie's 2018 EDGE Titanium, is impressive. Panoramic vista roof, blind spot info system, rain sensing wipers, adaptive cruise/collision system, lane keeping system, amongst other things that we didn't get on our Edge, the parellel parking assist, and forward facing camera and others. First owners manual that I've ever read to figure out how to work some off this equipment, then stopped back to ask a couple questions and learned about a few other things. Great Job Oakville (CAN) Assembly on the build.
