Sounds bass-ackwards, but so many people are cancelling or postponing vacations due to the high gas prices that those of us who go anyway have a buyer's market. NOWHERE have I seen a No Vacancy sign. The Grand Canyon lodges and campgrounds have plenty of vacancies. Low crowds so you can see things at your own pace without waiting on crowds.

Las Vegas was booming as usual, but the places you gotta drive to are great. Next stop: Bryce Canyon & Zion National Park, then back to Vegas.

If you can afford to play, go for it. God speed and a safe return.

:rasta: U.S. gas $$ is amongst the lowest. Bottled water + designer coffee can cost over 10x as much . And what a great ride most of us here have to put it in.
