Anyone using the Roush Tensioner with a Eaton swap or Trilogy? If so does it fit behind the water overflow tank? Its a lot thicker so I just wanted to make sure before I order one. Doing a pulley, belt, and tensioner over haul on the car.

I ran one for years on my old Trilogy. It fits against the degass reservoir with little room left.

The reservoir will have to be unbolted to install the tensioner.

Last I looked they were hard to find

If we are talking about the same 8 rib tensioner then AmericanMuscle.com and Summit Racing has them for $133.99

I use this one, recommended from Jerry (lji372) it has double bearings. I too run a ported Trilogy with 2.8 upper/4lb lower..no issues thus far

I’ve had the Roush tensioner for 6-7 years now. Works great and has not failed.

Been looking at this too, best price I've seen. Do you have to swap over the pulley from the tensioner that came with the trilogy? Either way I'll buy a new one none the less...The purpose is preventative maintenance. Im using a 3.0 upper/4lb lower I use Gates belt K080525HD. Did you have to grind a lil material off your accessories tensioner to get it to not touch the 4lb lower? Mine had to be.....

Does it come with the correct pulley for the Trilogy and Eaton swap?

My old setup was:
Trilogy w/3.0 upper pulley
Stock Trilogy lower
Roush tensioner
Metco 90mm double bearing smooth idler

I had a Roush tensioner fail on me and almost come apart

I'll prefer the UPR Tensioner but if not available the Roush it is and the Metco 90mm double bearing pulley.

Been out of stock for more than a year now Nate. I looked high and low for the UPR for my new build and couldn't find any.
Got tired of looking and bought the Thump RRR

Thumps are pricey but the best option imo.

I ran a 2.8 upper and 4# lower with a Thump on the Trilogy. No interference at all.

Did you have to grind the bottom of your accessories tensioner down some where it meets the 4lb lower? Had to on mine. Not much just a lil bit.

Excellent I'm not the only one lol. I just brought a new tensioner and forgot all about that. Went to put it in and found out. I think I should beable to do it with the file I have here. If not I'll take it to the bench at work.

Here's the new Roush tensioner it comes with a 76mm pulley. I purchased a Metco 90mm double bearing smooth idler pulley to pair with the Roush.

Here's my accessories tensioner, notice on the left the old one with the areas grinded down to clear the 4lb tensioner. I'm taking the new one to work to grind it down on the work bench. I only had a file here at home and it just wasnt getting the job done.

It's been so long sense I changed the accessories belt, I was looking at it like you could do it with the tensioner and alternator brackets on. Nope, gotta take those guys off [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]
