First mistake the old guy made was paying 100 large for a 2006 Cadillac!
Second mistake was not keeping an empty Gatorade bottle in the car.

There are a few takeaways here.
People should read their owner’s manuals, or at least keep them in their cars.
Dealers should explain key safety features like this when they sell the vehicles.
And automakers should probably try to make stuff as intuitive as possible (this applies for pretty much all features),
especially when their clients tend to be old folks (Corvette owners, Cadillac owners).
