The cost of a Bugatti, a French luxury car with only three models—Veyron, Chiron and Divo—typically ranges from $1.7 million to $3 million, and its newest Divo (https://www.bugatti.com/divo/) hypercar model, which sold out (http://www.cnbc.com/id/105442027?__source=msn|money|i nline|story|&par=msn&doc=105459328) in one day (http://www.cnbc.com/id/105442027?__source=msn|money|i nline|story|&par=msn&doc=105459328), has a ticket price of $5.8 million.

But getting a Bugatti serviced costs a pretty penny too: For a Veyron, the least expensive model at $1.7 million, an oil change costs $20,000 to $25,000, according to Royalty Exotic Cars. That's about the the price of a new Toyota Camry (https://www.toyota.com/camry/).

The price? $21,000, according to CEO Houston Crosta.
"Bugatti services are so expensive because of the exclusivity of the product," Crosta tells CNBC Make It (http://www.cnbc.com/id/103395579?__source=msn|money|i nline|story|&par=msn&doc=105459328). "Only select individuals own a Bugatti and the owners tend to have one or more Bugattis."
The Veyron uses a dry-sump oiling system with 16 different drain plugs, accessible after intricately removing parts of the underbody, which takes hours. Refilling requires removing the car's grill, rear fender liners and rear deck including rear brakes, which are bigger than front brakes.

A Bugatti oil change is recommended once a year, whether the car has been driven or not, according to Crosta. These oil changes assure that the vehicle is running at it's highest output and efficiency. These services include all fluids in the vehicle and other routine maintenance.
Owning a Bugatti comes at a high price beyond an oil change. "Tires alone are currently around $38,000," Costa says. "Such an amazing piece of machinery can be expected to be expensive."

While I love the car and everything it can do... 16 drain plugs and 27 hours of labor for an oil change is just poor engineering in my opinion.

It is a French car....

And, yes....the 'Oil Change' includes draining your IRA and a free wallet cleaning.

I read somewhere (IIRC) that not only are the tires ludicrously expensive, but they only last something like 5,000 miles and only the dealers have the correct machinery to replace them.

Tires are $38k, and I think brake jobs are $30k

If you can afford a Bugatti, what difference does a $20,000 oil change make?

From Wikipedia:

"A replacement transmission for the Veyron costs just over US$120,000. It uses special Michelin PAX run-flat tyres, designed specifically to accommodate the Veyron's top speed, and cost US$25,000 per set. The tyres can be mounted on the wheels only in France, a service which costs US$70,000."

WTF, over?!

Friend of mine got a 2018 new Ford GT, did his first oil change a few weeks ago, set him back $520 in oil and filter, and he did it himself. Only took a few hours .

14 quarts of Castrol super car synthetic and a special GT specific oil filter that costs $62.

The rims can only be used twice. After 2nd set of tires are mounted (mounting only done in France) that's it for the rims. 3rd set of tires have to be on new rims.

Watch the video about shredding the tires off one. The guy actually imparts a lot of info about them. That's where I got the info on the rims

The air for the tires costs more than that!

And the air for the cabin? $800 every time you open the door!
