File these under CRINGE. There should be a legal penalty for this...

Yeah the wheels, the stickers and the stance are silly, but other than that it looks clean and nice. I've seen MUCH worse

That guy is a meat head pardon my French. All he knows how to do is bounce that car off the Rev limiter and claim 500hp, when my daily gapped him bus lengths.
Doesn't live far from me, not sure what became of the car haven't seen it in a long while. It was for sale had about 150 km on the clock.

Reader comments on youtube and here sum this up nicely, especially the vid with the headlamp out and the apparent blown motor. Marauder 'crossed the tracks' and its lifespan calculation is no longer on the auditor's charts. Soon to appear in a salvage yard near you.

Really doesn't look too bad.
I'm not a fan of aftermarket rims on a Marauder....but those are pretty cool looking.
As far as the 500 RWHP ...probably Ricer HP.

What's wrong with stock? I'd take stock over that broken heap any day.

I actually don’t mind the looks of it, god forbid someone put different wheels on a Marauder :P

2 things I don't get, burn-outs, and free revving motors, both just a waist of resources and energy.

I’m with you on free-revving, but burnouts are hella fun. :burn:

So a Marauder is worthless unless it's been modified?
Can't say I buy that.

As most know, the clean, unmodified Marauder will be worth the most. I respect people who spend $60k or more on their Marauder 'project', it will only mean something to relatively few. Letting it sit in a barn and rot after your death is a poor option.
Add in Genuine Mercury Accessories and the Marauder Boutique items, the value of these cars will climb quickly at some point. People who strip accessories from their cars prior to sale to sell at a later date irk me and many others I'm sure. If and when I sell my car, ALL of the accessories and spares will go with the sale as I've always done this.

To me yes. It’s a glorified slow Mercury. I would fall asleep driving a stock one. I would much rather pay the small fee for an upgraded one from a trusted source and let them take the hit.
I never understood the value of boring stock. My opinion, others vary.

I certainly won't get into a debate about which (stock or modified) will be worth more in the future. I've seen it go both ways with other cars. I don't really care because I'm not in it for the money anyway.
That being said, I do find value in stock cars. Anyone with the skill and tools can make a great car, and there are a lot of those folks out there. It's not actually that hard for many of them.
On the other hand, for a large automaker with lots of layers, politics, and personalities to all align and build a really great car, that's an achievement. An achievement worth saving a few samples.
And while the gen-4 Marauder is not one of the world's greatest cars, it is one of Mercury's greatest cars.
Again, I like both the stock and the modified, but a modified car is a piece of art, while a stock car is a piece of history.
Just my 2 cents.

Good probability the hoodrat OP car is 'out of service' after watching the vids. To be resurrected?
