Hi all

2nd owner of a 300B just bought. Looks in fine shape. Never wi term driven. Low miles. I think rustproofing is normally a good idea. Can someone confirm why I should not get it rustproofed? My 1st dumb question of many to come. :help:

Peace

If you don't drive it in winter then not really required. Since you are in Ontario, I hear Krown products are very vood

I have lived in the Northeast for all of my life and we have a tremendous amount of salt and snow here. I have tried multiple products and even did some rustproofing / undercoating myself a few times. Nothing stayed on permanently. Within a year, a lot of the coating was gone. But this is just my experience and mine is a daily driver.

In fact, many owners have said not to do it because some of the undercoating can actually trap moisture within the body / frame of the car. There have been a few threads on this topic in the past:

This is the stuff I use. Works nicely but is quite messy. It looks like jelly and won't wash off but can be removed with a rag.
