There is currently no plans for a cookout this year...with the health of my parents I kinda have to leave things loose so I can exit when and if needed...sorry, really liked the cookout, not to say it won't return in the future though...

With January coming to an end I urge you to not wait till the last minute if you know you coming or even if you are planning on attending the Meet, please make a reservation... we only get a block of 10 rooms at a time, once ten are booked we get another 10 as long rooms are available and not booked by the other groups.

I'm thinking about going to Louisville this year as I've never been to any Marauder events. I know a lot of you have been friends for years since the introduction of the Marauder in 2003, so I'm a little late to the party!


Just curious, besides meeting everyone and hanging out socially, are there any formal presentations planned from Steve Babcock, or anyone else connected with the Marauder?

Deb and I were talking last night about booking our room. We will be up there even if we have to pitch a tent in the Liquor Barn's parking lot.


Brad will you be doing burn outs in the hotel parking lot until the cops come? And then point at my car and say "That guy over there was causing all that Chaos. Go over there and arrest him!" I can't thank you enough for that little experience.

The Hyatt website said that all rooms were booked. I called the reservation desk and they still had rooms available. I would suggest that you call the hotel if you have not already done so.

There are still rooms available, don't know why online is showing full unless the code was not put in...cancel the other one and call the desk man. BUT, once they are gone there is NO guarantee of another block. I said from the beginning not to wait, this city gets busier every year which is one reason the Meet was pushed back to May...next year it could be in June, but who knows...

You have to call the local (502) number and wait online to get someone. Cant press for reservations or you will be sent directly to the 800 res line and they tell you the hotel is sold out. They only have King rooms available and nothing else. I was able to get a king for Friday and Saturday night :banana:
because I know how you guys are :beer: I will be rolling in on Wednesday and staying at the Holiday Inn on Hurstbourn for weds/thurs night. Right down the street and might be an option if someone is booking late.

Hopefully I finally have mine ready to roll. Had to put new tires and a front end alignment on it. Guy doing the alignment took me back to the shop to show me he could not get the camber to adjust. I asked him if he took the flags off and he said no. I asked why not and he said then he would have to get a camber kit for it because it did not have the cam under the bolt head. I told him yes it does it is under the flag. So he goes to trying to pry it off with a screw driver. I thought to myself what have I got myself into. I finally had to leave before I blew up. He finally got it done and got it to Carfixers specs. Of course the would not warranty it since it was not factory specs. Plus I got new Nitto Motivo tires.

My father's doctor gave him the news today. He does have pancreatic cancer and has 6-12 months. He can extend that time frame via chemo, but at the age of 83, I think it would be pretty hard on him. We talked earlier this evening, but we didn't talk about any of that. He's got more tests/procedures during the upcoming week, which my sister will take him to/from. My stepmother has developed dementia (around this time last year), so he has that to deal with also. Hopefully her son (or his daughters who are 5-10 years younger than me) will finally step in and start helping out my father with that.

Since I will be moving back to the Charlotte area in a couple of months anyway (which is 30 mins from where my father is), I'm in the mindset to still attend L-ville in order to take a break/get away from the recent developments that have popped up on me.

I will be rolling in around 2-3pm Thursday afternoon; can't wait to see everyone again, especially those I haven't seen for quite a while.

Oh honey I’m home! Actually I got here around 3:30 after getting a couple of trucks to move so I could hop scotch to the right shoulder and back the trailer up a half mile or more in under a minute and get a movin!

Just pulled in to my place about 30 minutes ago. No big issues on the drive back; hit some really heavy downpours while going through Knoxville. One car in the median facing wrong way after hydroplaning I would assume. Stopped once to get gas and food, so made the trip back in 5h 15m.

Just want to say thanks again to Mark and TJ (and everyone in between) for putting on another great L-ville event. I had a much needed blast and probably laughed the most and hardest I have since L-ville last year.

Now the sucky part...the start of the wait until the next one :alone:

Made it in a few hours ago. We had a blast this year. I got to sit and talk to everybody this year. It was great seeing everyone. The car ran great with the new Eaton setup in. I was worried about its dependability but it proved itself this weekend. Can't wait till next year.

Home! Made a side trip to cemetery for Mother's Day and then a 2 hour round trip to pick up dog. Gray rainy ugly day traveling but an uneventful smooth trip. No truck tried to kill me this time! :D

Sorry for the late post. I arrived back home around 9:30 p.m. last night due to road work and a couple of accidents on I-77 South ( West Virginia Turnpike) that had closed the highway temporarily. My car ran really good throughout the whole trip. Several bad storms went through the middle & southern WV area earlier that day and there were a lot of leaves,twigs,small branches all over the highway & several trees blocking the right lane as well. I waited for things to clear at the service plaza for a couple of hours. Ran into heavy rains and thunderstorms for the last hour and a half before getting home. Thanks to Bill and TJ for putting this together, am glad to see everyone that attended and hope to see everybody again next time.
