Car has been sitting about 8 months. Figured the battery was dead so we tried to jump it. Voltmeter shows 13 volts, all my lights and electrics come on, but all i get is clicking under the hood. I was thinking my alternator was on the way out when I parked it, but should still be able to jump it, yeah?
Possibly the starter or relay? Any tips/tricks/advice appreciated!

Swap the starter relay with another and check again.
Check all connections are clean and tight.
Check what the voltage is to the small wire on the starter while having someone try to crank it.
Do your lights stay nice and bright when you try to start it or do they go dim or off altogether?

Tap on the starter, too. Dead spot on the brushes will cause bendix to throw starter gear but not spin stator.

Try a different fully charged battery first.
