STAP 2010 & 2011 were two of the most fun events ever.

I think we're due for another! Holy crap, hi Mike! Long time no see.

Our parking lot is still there, but there's nothing else to see. That being said, if there was enough interest and the date was convenient for me, I'd go back and hang.

I know for a fact that the St. Thomas Raceway Park (in nearby Sparta) would love to have us back. They always treated us fantastically and asked us to return whenever we headed out for the night.

And then there's "our" STAP hotel - the Best Western Stoneridge Inn, just up the road from the plant. They either loved us or hated us; I never could decide which! It seemed like it was dependent on who was working the desk that night. They were always cooperative in blocking rooms for us (and as you remember, selling Americans cases of beer from the bar's stock after hours when we realized LCBO and the Beer Store was closed).

Of course, our antics included Pier climbing on the roof of the hotel, us 'occupying' the conference room without permission, and Jason spilling the entire contents of a cooler (in which was a case of beer and plenty of water, having melted earlier) down a flight of steps.......so I'm sure we weren't the easiest group to deal with.

Ahhh, the good old days.

Sounds like a typical Louisville?

I wouldn't know...always falls near my birthday and salt still on the road, so MM doesn't come out. I gave up on ever attending. :(

Who cares, drive something else.

Louisville is about the people, not the car. I've driven my Impala a few times now, Bob's come in his PU, many others have come in other than MM.

Holy Crap! You're close for bleeping sakes!

Celebrate your BD at Looseville!!!!!!!

I was acutely aware of STAP's closing as I was employed by a contractor to DTNA (Daimler Trucks North America) right around the corner, before retirement. DTNA shut down their St. Thomas Plant in the spring of 2009. London, ON and vicinity took a major economic shock as a result.

STAP is no more. They tore the buildings down and put concrete blocks in front of the parking lots so you can't even get into them any more.

STAP 2011 was full of shenanigans. I remember getting on my buddy's shoulders to knock on a second floor window and corral some ladies to our parking lot party. Best car meet I've ever been to.

Pretty sure that was Detroit 2012. Your brother came with you. (either way, one of us is wrong and we will blame the beer )
