The founders of the SCCA didn’t intend it as a racing organization 75 years ago.

The club’s founders at least decided on a rather open-ended definition of sports car: “any quality car which was built primarily for sports motoring as opposed to mere transportation.”

Therefore the Marauder = a sports car!!:coolman:

FYI: The SCCA origination is 75 this year and one of the planned stops for the Fall Fun Run.

It's definitely more of a sports car than a Dodge Neon yet the Dodge Neon ACR is considered a sports car by SCCA.

Personally I think the marauder is kind of a sports car.

A sports sedan I guess you could say?Yep. Like Pontiac and the G8. As far as I'm concerned there's nothing wrong with having four doors on a fast car.

A sports sedan I guess you could say?Sporty like sedan perhaps, I wouldn't put the MM in the same category as say a 5 series Beemer.
