Not a Ford-Mercury product but truly special interest. Like most here, I’ve heard of and seen 4th gen SLP Firehawks. Today, I find out there were just a handful (25) 3rd gen 1992 SLP Firehawks built.
These were Formulas with built L98 motors rated at 350 net BHP (some say 360). Later 4th gen Firehawks had LT1 and LS1 motors rated between 315 and 325 net BHP. $40k+ sticker price put off many to the 3rd gen Firehawks. Makes for a good read IMO.

While digging around further, I read where 34 2009 G8 GT Firehawks were built. All were equipped with the 6.2L motor and TVS supercharger. Last SLP cars built.

I've owned two third-gens.
Love those cars; always loved the Firehawk.

Pontiac Tojan? Never heard of it either. Apparently 133 (136?) were built between 1984 and 1991. 3rd gen F body Firebirds. The original prototype had a 800 net BHP twin turbo motor. Production cars weren’t quite so powerful.

This has been my ultimate car. I came close to buying one years ago at an auction.
There was one 92 convertible built. It was the only 92 Firehawk to have been built using the Trans Am. It may have been the only Firehawk then to have every single option too. I had a magazine article on this car but I think it’s gone.

I remember back in the late 90’s. SLP sold the few 91-92 Firehawk prototypes right off their website to the general public. No auctions.
Sent from the White House on the tax payers dime.
