I am asking for the knowledge of both our Vic and Marauder owners here.

I have a '92 Crown Vic beater that has just started to produce a little rattle in one of the Cats. I believe it's a case of age, and the rattle could be the exterior cover, or perhaps the inards rusting away. not sure at this point, none the less, wondering if the cats from my Marauder could be welded in as replacements.

Any opinions?

Particularly, as someone has taken interest in my old cats, but I need to know before I let them go.

Exterior eat shield rattling? Mine just came off of my Taurus last week. If that is teh case, no big deal, just don't park on a pile of leaves in teh fall.

My guess is that as long as the diameter of the pipes are the same, they should work just fine. But, like Marty says, check the heat shield first. You can bang on it with a rubber mallet to determine the source of the rattle.

Or, get Todd to jump up and down underneath your car. Be careful, he might suggest that he hangs on underneath while you drive it! :D
