I need a little help. My serpentine belt shredded on my MM while idling in the parking lot and I need a part number.

My MM is equipped with a NOVI 1200 supercharger. I wrote the part number and length down years ago and stored the info in my tool box. Well it's no longer there and the torn belt yields no info.

Zack replaced the belt some years ago, April 2012.

Can anyone tell me how to measure for a replacement belt.

Regards,

Pat

Most likely its 108" long. 6 or 8 rib. Also check all pulleys and belt alignment. There's a reason the belt shredded.

The one that came with my kit I think was 110.5. Gator back 4061105. That’s for the stock pulley. I have a smaller pulley now and no longer have that belt to be sure.

cleared out the old belt debris and checked the pully's, all spin freely, I'll replace a couple due to bearing noise.

Most of the old belt was bound up on the small pullys's behind the supercharger.

Now to measure for the new belt. I'll tape string around the path of the belt to see how many inches it is and compare to what you guys posted.

I did find a frozen pully, the one with ribs. That's what I think shredded the belt, draging the belt over the "sharp" ribs.

Got all the parts, disassembly, cleaning and reassembly in progress.

Ordered new bottles of S/C fluid from Paxton. All cleaned up, will fit the new belt after I change the fluid.

Well the S/C fluid finaliy came in, changed the fluid in the S/C and put on the new belt. Took several trips to NAPA but got a belt that fits. Gates 25-061110, the belt is
111 7/8" long.

car runs much quieter with the new pully's. 146K on the trip meter.

Jason, my Honda mech, did all the work. I just kibitzed from my chair.
