So the title says it all. It has been running rough at idle but runs like a champ otherwise. It is also taking much longer to start sometimes. Doesn't seem to be related to being cold or not. The code reader at one time said cylinder 6. But not now it doesn't say which cylinder. Could it really be just a coil pack?

Get the oem coil and change the plugs. Make sure gapped properly. Also would be a good time to clean your IAC and MAF

I would do a compression test before purchasing any parts..

Greg, If you don't have a compression tester I have one and some spare good/used oem coil packs that you can borrow for testing.

Hey Boom Boom,

Are you the one I met over by Casa Mia's

My motor was rebuilt about 20,000 miles ago by Marty and oil reports are good. I do have a compression tester.

I think I may have a spare coil not sure. All my tools, etc. are at another house in Maryland

I'm the one you got the trunk organizer from. Have you looked at the plug yet? That can tell you a lot. If you need a coil, let me know.

+1. I was surprised my low mileage motor had a relatively lower cylinder psi (#4) when replacing spark plugs for the first time not long ago. Still within the 20% limit (150psi vs. 175psi).

The long crank time tells me your fuel pressure may be leaking down after you turn the car off and the rough idle with a P0306 seems to point to a leaking injector. Does it smoke at all when you start it?
