I was hesitant in mentioning this, but when I look back, I may have very well avoided being carjacked. This past monday November 4th at approx 1615, I was leaving the Wells Fargo Bank branch at 2910 South Blvd., after conducting business inside. I parked Marauder in the lower parking lot at the corner of South Blvd and New Bern St - a one way entrance off of South Blvd and a one way exit onto New Bern (white utility truck). As I was exiting the parking lot, a 1990s black Crown Vic beater with two occupants attempted to enter my exit, partially blocking me and the right lane on New Bern Street. They both started shouting about 'do you want to sell it?', 'where did you get it?', bet you paid alot for it?', etc. I mostly ignored them until a motorist they were blocking blew her horn. At about the same time, the passenger in the Crown Vic was glaring at me and began to exit his car. Both lanes on New Bern back to South Blvd. were open and the light was green for me to make a quick exit onto New Bern and then a left turn onto South Blvd heading north.

Crime is off of the scales here with daily carjackings, murders, etc. Pizza Delivery man was shot and had his car stolen last night. Motorist was arraigned yesterday in the death of a motorcyclist. Motorist claimed the biker cut him off, assaulted him and used racial epithets so the motorist ran him down, killing the biker. Motorist reportedly told witnesses the 'biker deserved it'? Everyday stuff here and the cops tell me I only know of a fraction of the true amount of crime/dysfunction as most isn't reported in the media - probably no different anywhere else.

Did I avoid a carjacking? Maybe. Major red flags for sure. Do pay attention to your surroundings and don't be afraid to act.

Head on a swivel, always armed, round in the chamber, this is unfortunately the only way to step out of the house nowadays. While I don't go looking for trouble I know that the world is crap and humans suck. I live in the Dallas, TX area and it was the damn summer of murder here.

That’s a good start, practice practice practice, I generally carry my duty or off duty weapon, when winter and heavy coats come out, I like to switch up to my snub nose....... .454 casull, along with 2 speed loaders, God help me if I need to squeeze off 15 rounds with that thing...

I've played around with BIG bore stuff for 45 years......shot a LOT of nasty stuff along the way but this little PM45 is really sweet........very little felt recoil and very manageable!!:beer:

As far as concealable, that Kahr is the ticket. As far as big bore, I’m still in the hunt for a S&W 500 stubbie, you know, what if a polar bear tries to rob me?

Iv been carrying a 40 cal glock sub compact for over 10 years now. I have thr alien gear IWB holster and have fallen asleep with it numerous times.

I highly recommend.

As far as whats been said you can jever have enough practice. Youd be surprised how far off your aim might be until u try to hit dead center on a target.

Honestly its not at all abnormal for people in lesser panthers to go nuts and get a little close to our personal space bubbles when seeing a Marauder out and about. Happened to a friend of mine the other week when he had his trilogy marauder out, has happened to me at gas stations.

Nice piece - looks similar to what my daughter carries. As far as the government is concerned, this is all that I have - haven't used it in so long that the rubber is dry rotted.

I just made a reservation for my upcoming trip back to Florida. My hotel is in a good location but my elderly relatives live in an area that has declined significantly. There is a police substation a couple of blocks away from them - some consolation I suppose. I chuckled to myself anytime I walked around the area in daytime as the middle finger seemed to be the most common form of greeting those of us with a lighter complexion. Locals loved Marauder but showed no interest in Mustang or my previous Ranger. Driving the new Ranger on this trip. Hotel rooms? Someone is always checking the door handles/locks for some odd reason at all hours - mine are always fully locked from the inside when I'm there. In case an actor gains unauthorized entry, the (hotel guest services guide?!) is always close by.

Looks to be an interesting and truthful read. Sadly, we are being bombarded with overt and even subliminal messaging attempting to program us into soft targets. If we don't go along with the conspiracy promoting our destruction, then we are nazis, haters, racists, etc., with many people completely dropping their guards and becoming 'victims' as a result.

I carry a Ruger SR9C and my wife carries a Sig Sauer .380... no issues ever in any neighborhood. She drives an 88 Monte Carlo daily in the summer and gets approached every time she gets gas... never any issues though, just joyful conversation about a good looking gal driving a good looking car. We took some photos a couple of years ago at the old Packard plant in Detroit, if you don't know the area let's just say you wouldn't raise your children there... had to drive down a very narrow alley to get to the building and there were a group of guys "doing business" on the street... seriously could have been a bad situation but all we had was comments about the car, asking if we were going to take photos by the building, then have a nice day. I've found if approached without fear or prejudice most people are pretty harmless... no matter what their "job" is.

Sig P365 9mm is the best EDC IMO. During winter with jackets, I can carry my G23 .40... either way a carjacker won't be having a good time.
