Anyone seen the Ford v Ferrari Movie?

Reminds me of a story my cousin told me. He got transferred to Paris and had just bought a 1962 Corvette Z06.

He had to join a Car Club to drive it on the track. His first lap around a turn he lost it and saved it just in time to avoid hitting a shack! A Frenchman runs up saying "Bravo, Bravo".

He asked what are you doing in 2 weeks? Lets go to Le Mans! My cousin asked if he can bring his girl friend and he says YES!

They met the Frenchman who brought a small bag and pile in the Corvette. There is a traffic line and the Frenchman says go round. My Cousin says what about the Garmin? The Frenchman says no worry.

They get pulled over by the Garmin. The Frenchman pulls out his professional racing driver license and proclaims we are late. The Garmin believes they are late to race in Le Mans and escorts them!

They get there and the Frenchman pulls out 3 cameras from his bag and shouts wear for Press.

They parked in the press area and walked right into the press box!!! They had a great time and the best view.

An edited version would make a great 'inspirational quote'! Much like: 'If you can't dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with bullsht'.

Watched it last night. Thought it was pretty good - not as 'Hollywood' as I expected.

Leaving the lot, I felt like I was racing the 24, and the freeway was the Mulsanne Straight.

My Mustang Club went as a group to the AMC theater in the Rockaway Mall last Friday.
We filled the theater at the 8:00 PM show.
Many of us own Shelby Mustangs and Cobra kit cars, so the movie had a special bond for us.
I have a Factory Five Cobra with a beast of an engine. It has run at the VIR and the New Jersey Motorsport Park.
The logo on my sign in is my '70 Boss 302 running the doors off of a Shelby Mustang at the NJMP.
God Bless Modified cars.

My club members liked the movie.

Saw the movie yesterday. I really liked it. And even more strange my wife really liked it. Now I have to take her to one of "Her Kind of Movies."

I took my 13 year old daughter Wednesday. She said she enjoyed it. She then went and saw Frozen yesterday. I asked her which movie she liked better and to my surprise she said Ford vs Ferrari. She said it was much better. I had to laugh.

i thought the movie could have been 2 episodes each 3 hours long. There’s so much they just gloss over or completely left out. It was entertaining though.

Yeah, I hate scary movies too. Ms. D likes all those Freddy and Jason movies. Too scary for me. Give me a good super hero flick.

It is a good movie. I think they should change the title to Ford vs Shelby.

Unfortunately too much was focused on an ego battle between a few men vs the rubber meeting the road. "Hollywood".
