Hi, I'm a noob that just registered. I've been lurking for a couple of weeks learning up on Marauders, and have been talking price with a local dealer.
I'm wondering if anyone here knows what a good price would be. A friend has offered to get me X-plan pricing, which is about $250 below invoice. Obviously, this is a really good deal. However, with Grand Marquis going for about $3000 below invoice, I want to make sure I'm not missing anything. I have taken all the rebates into consideration; they really seem to be giving away Grand Marquis.
Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Mark

I love this site. I never knew about this X-Plan thing. Turns out we can qualify and save an extra $300 on the lowest price quoted from a dealer. I can get $32,273 with the X-Plan plus $1,000 from Ford Credit and $500 for AARP, I'm approaching my goal of $29,000~!

buy it! buy it! Grand Marquis are for a different crowd.
I paid 31,200 for mine. It was hard not to act excited during negotiations.

Welcome to the site, Dutch. Got my '03 at end of last year for $27,000 after a bunch of rebates including $500 AARP and $500 L/M loyalty. It's not just another Grand Marquis --- it's an experience.

Maybe you can join us (West Coast Marauders) when we get together. Usually in Las Vegas or LA.

Well thanks for all the input, guys. I ended up buying a used 2000 Lincoln LS V8. I really like the Marauder, but I couldn't justify the cost. I really like this Lincoln, though, and it goes pretty well to boot.
Thanks,
Mark
