My oh my! Technology is anything that wasn't around when you were born.
The Mustang SVOs are the same age as my daughter. A big fan of both. Came across the following Youtube vid today and had to see how the SVO stacks up to my 33 year newer Ranger Ecoboost. Both are 2.3L turbocharged motors but that's where the similarities end.

The new Ecoboost will react positively to 93 octane fuel and the Owner's Manual recommends 93 for towing. I've consistently used 90 E0 as it's readily available.
Just over 4,000 miles on the odometer since the purchase in May, 2019. Quite pleased with the performance and it's noticeably improving in increments as I gather the miles. What has gotten my attention is the very positive results to tuning for the Ecoboost Ranger.
Summary: SVO on 93 pump gas and no performance mods: 170 RWHP and 250 RWT. (LMR.com (http://LMR.com))
I gathered the Ranger info from a number of sources/tuners.
Stock. 87 E10: 236 RWHP and 281 RWT. 7.3 seconds to 60mph. Figures from an early road test and dyno run.
Tuner One: (Palm Beach Dyno) Ranger has oversized tires and wheels - non-stock.
aFe Charge Pipe with 87 E10: 255 RWHP and 299 RWT. 7.2 seconds to 60mph.
93 tune and aFe Charge Pipe and 93 E10: 295 RWHP and 373 RWT. 5.8 seconds to 60mph.
Tune tweak and VP Octane Booster (estimated) 325 RWHP and 393 RWT. Future installment.
This tuner stated he would be working on an E85 tune, add a higher flow fuel pump. Future installment.
Tuner Two: (5 Star Tuning)
Base run using 93 E10: 257 RWHP and 283 RWT. 7.5 seconds to 60mph.
93 tune using 93 E10 - no mods: 312 RWHP and 374 RWT. 5.5 seconds to 60mph.

Lots of potential here. 5 Star is in Florence, SC so it's a no brainer for me. A catch can is the only mod on my list at present.
