Off duty cop driving a borrowed classic car. Speed clearly played a part and I suspect booze-drugs were contributors. We have choices people.

Ouch, I don't even see seat belts in there. Not that it might have helped at all.

Chassis' under these old cars are a joke when it comes to accident absorption. Cars look big and heavy, but not very safe in anything other than a fender bender. If you drive one regularly put a cage in it.

I spot a Corvette engine in that sedan. New big ass radiator too. Probably was a nice quiet sleeper.

They should turn off the last remaining parking light before the battery goes dead.

Sgt Erik Tellez, Houston Metro Police. 38 years old, married with four kids. Terrible.

"They don't make 'em like they used to..."

Looked up the two roads on Google Maps....sharp right hand bend in the road where he lost it.....
Old ass cars don't handle very well, especially when pushed into a bender at very high speeds by a high HP modern engine.

Recalling another 'accident' that is still in many memories...people making incredibly poor choices.
