Okay so I've got a project in mind I'm thinking about doing. I want to take my 1991 Lincoln Town Car Swap a Marauder engine, wire harness – cluster and – harness main body harness. got all of parts to do what I want to do to. But the 91 Lincoln Town Car dash itself will not allow the Mercury Marauder cluster to fit but the 97 will allow the dash cluster to fit. so my question is this does anybody know if the 97 dash itself will fit in the dimensions of a 91 Lincoln Town Car

Let me just add that I've done several swaps. and engine swaps. yes I know the oil pan will need to be modified to fit the 1991 frame of the car. and all that just wanted to put that out there. the question I asked was simply about the dash any input is appreciated thanks.

Might do better posting on a panther forum. Most here are marauder specific.

your title should be 97 to 91 lincoln tc dash swap

the aero chassis is so bad I don't know why you want to undertake this project. A friend of mine (who was on this forum and did own a marauder) started building up a 94 town car to do a tork tech eaton swap, after doing the 98-02 brake conversion, HPP springs, HPP swaybars, a P71 steering gear and 18" wheels with 235 tires all around, he still felt like he was piloting a mile long pool noodle and sold it off instead.

You should be able to fit the dash but if you want to stick a 4v in a 91 town car you might as well put a 03 + town car frame under it

I was actually thinking about using the 03 Lincoln town car chassis under the square body 91. Because I like the way the 91 body style looks. definitely going to give this some thought. Thanks for the reply.

You'll need to find a town car and only a town car since town cars even in "standard" length, they are 3" longer compared to a CV or GM, and that is in the chassis. Look for a wrecked non extended wheelbase 03+ town car.
