I was at the grocery store today when I noticed an elderly Lady opening the liftgate to her SUV and a young man accompanying her.

I had a feeling she had a flat so I walked over to the SUV and yep a flat. They began gathering the spare and tools.

I commented most spares are flat do you want me to check with a tire gauge. He said yes. I retrieved my gauge and yep completely flat.
I ask is there another car that can take the spare to get air? They don't answer so I offer to check to see if I have a pump.

I retrieve my 15 year old pump, see pic, and it works great!

The young man has a heck of a time loosing the lugs. HE is 6'4" and 300lbs. The elderly Lady advises the Dealer just rotated her tires.

I checked to see if my Lug Wrench would fit but it doesn't.

The lugs were so tight she had to put on the brakes to stop the car from rocking. As the spare was being bolted on another couple came to help.

I told them I was leaving and the elderly Lady thanked me.

I used to check my spares once a year but they were too low so now every 6-8 months.

What a coincidence. I just checked the spare tire pressure on my wife's 2016 Explorer on Sunday and it was about 45 PSI. Should be at 60 PSI.

My daughter's 2014 Escape was down to about 10 PSI. We bought it used about one year ago. That was probably the air in it when it left the Ford assembly plant.
