Part Identification Help

Anyone recognize this part? A friend of mine is putting a 1956 Ford pickup body on a Marauder running gear.

He says there is a tiny light bulb on it and a place to plug it in and then these two silver electrodes come out and they look like they are the tip of a spark plug.

Any help would be appreciated.

He's also asking why there is a white hose that comes from the firewall and then goes to the small vent to the right of the HVAC controls. Is that for the automatic temperature control?

You are correct. I looked at my Marauder during my lunch and it is part of the glove box latch. Thanks.
