I think it’s going to require a lot more than just “dropping it in! “ Lol.

Not bad for a bone stock truck engine if you ask me.

They make an easy 600+ HP with a non-truck cam, intake and headers....N/A.

I heard they are also coming out with a 6.8 liter, and possible option for a mustang.

I really wish they'd offer the Voodoo engine since the GT350 is getting discontinued. Would be the most distinct sounding Marauder ever if you put one of those in it.

What might have to happen if one wanted to install the predator in a Marauder ?
What is the cost ?

I already asked Marty and he said, "NO". But, maybe for someone else.

What was his reasoning for not wanting to do a Preditor installation ?

I love that new pushrod engine. Ford finally realize the LS was dominating the aftermarket cause the Coyotes and their OHC offerings were too hard to use in older cars. Would love to do that Godzilla in my early Fastback Mustang. Maybe if my Windsor ever finally gives up, but in stock form that motor is a little down grade on power, but it's so upgradable it would easily turn into an upgrade.

Brian Wolfe (Retired FORD Engineer & Drag Racer)
is getting 790 HP.....N/A out of the Godzilla Engine
and only 1450 HP with a Whipple 3.0L Blower.....

Imagine that beast in a Marauder!
...and all the extra room under the hood once the 4.6 DOHC is replaced with a 7.3L pushrod Big Block.

Sounds like there wasn’t much Godzilla about it besides block, crank, and timing chains!

Ford Performance is now testing a twin turbo Godzilla engine. To me, a supercharger would make more sense.

One problem with turbo chargers are the heat that they radiate, possibly affecting various parts under the hood. This can be mitigated by using insulation or by mounting them remotely

Turbos would make more sense on the 7.3L Godzilla because it already has gobs of low end torque. With turbos, the midrange and top end pull would be sick.
Although a supercharged Godzilla WOULD make an awesome tire annihilator!

Current SC Godzilla’s can make over 1000 HP. The block is amazing!
A modified engine did this:

With the help of Whipple Superchargers, Brian Wolfe got the massive pushrod engine to make 1450 hp and 1030 lb-ft of torque.

Don’t get me wrong. A twin turbo has made more than 1000HP also.

I think the main point for Ford is that this is an alternative to the $10,000 Diesel option on the F250. It also is more Smog friendly than the Diesel to help pass future Smog rules.
