Marauderville II Convoys?

Hello Everyone,

I just figured I'd throw this out there to see how people were getting to Marauderville in Indy. I would love to join a big convoy of Marauders and roll into Indy with a big pack of friends...

I am a Buckeye Marauder member located in Cleveland Ohio, but would be willing to go places to meet up with a big group of Marauders on their way to Indy.

I'd be willing to meet all the north east people in Cleveland if your route takes you through here on your way, maybe Akron, Columbus...

Or, I know the Motor City folks have a big following...maybe we could all meet in Toledo, OH on our way down...

Or, the North easters, east coasters, Motor city people, cleveland people, and cincinnati people could all meet up on the I-70, I-75 intersection north of Dayton and cruise in that way??

I know it's a long shot...but there will be enough of us going at the same time to at least put together something!

Let me know if anyone has any Convoy ideas or plans already...or if anyone thinks these ideas won't work, etc. Feedback is a good thing.

Day of departure, route, and time of departure would be helpful pieces of information in trying to plan something like this...let me know if anyone likes this idea...

What day and time are you leaving? Wednesday? Thursday? etc.

At least I tried?!

I'm trying to get all the Georgia, Alabama, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina and anyone else in the South East to meet up for a convoy up to Indy!!

I'm leaving out on Wednesday........

If anyone in the Southern or South East areas want to convoy to Indy....please respond!!

I'd bet we're somewhere on the route for someone from Philly...You're certianly welcome! I know Big Dog is out there somewhere, and some of the guys from CT, NY,Jersey, and the North East. Haggis is from Maryland...and I know CRUZTAKER a fellow Cleveland guy is up for a convoy...we just have to decide on a day, and a location...and I think we'll have some fun! The more ideas, and people, the better! I think we might depart Wednesday also? I guess it will depend on everyone else if we can make this work. Immagine if the North, and east groups, met up with Marauderchicks groups coming up from the south...now we're talking!!!

Buckwheat, jspardii, and myself are planning to leave St. Louis Wed morning headed East on I - 70---hope we can meet up with one of the groups heading East--I think our departure from STL could be coordinated. Keep the thread going---definite plans will be made by next Wednesday. We had 18 Marauders arrive at MV I in convoy--it was a BLAST :rock: Let's try to beat that number :up: Maury

I think that entire northeast corridor could be a good source of people coming through the northeast ohio, mid-ohio area. Depending on the times, day, and highways...I really do think something big is possible. Let's try to spread the word to everyone! I'm glad to see there is some enthusiasm for this idea!

As of this time Chris and I are leaving on Thursday and are meeting up with Murader03 and heading West on I-70. Time of Depatrure is tentive at this moment. I thought we were going to meet Barry and some of the Ohio gang out side of Columbus on I-70, have those plans changed. I am also waiting to hear from some of the NY/NJ/Pa/Ct group to see if they would like to hook up somewhere along the way.

Bigdog & Garfield, the fat bastid, Reddog69, BillyGman and others respond here if you want to convoy to Indy.

I wish I were going to Indy this year but just can't afford it right now. I have too much dough wrapped in in real estate at the moment.

I will offer one word of caution, though. Such a large group of cars of the same make travelling acress a state will quickly catch the attention of every Trooper Barrack on the road long before you reach it. If anyone is planning on making good time on their way to Indy a caravan would probably not be the best way to go about it.

We are working on a LEO escort for the larger convoys once they hit the Indiana state line. Nothing set in stone yet, but there is a good chance it may happen :)

I actually have reservations for Wednesday night as I need the majority of Thursday morning th prep the car for the weekend activities. I am gonna leave Wednesday late afternoon and arrive early evening and hang out with the early arrivals.

The only thing that will change this will be if the WEATHER GODS decide to not grant us good weather for the weekend....and in that case...well....I won't say...:bigcry: </FONT>

Just in case any west coast folks are planning to go and reading this thread, TeamRope and I are planning on running together pretty much the whole way. PM me if you're interested in joining up. I think we're taking I-80 east-bound most of the way.
