State Farm sux.

Maybe for some. I’ve had the same agent for 25 years and you couldn’t sell me on anyone else! They’ve had my back on countless situations and have always done me solid. Unless you’re basing your opinion off of price? I don’t base anything in my life off of price. But if I did…

Honest quotes on a 1 year old GSXR 750 sport bike

Geico- $3,800 a year
Some other crappy carrier I can’t recall - $2,600

I figured I’d go ahead and get a quote from my guy at State Farm just for giggles…

$690/year and it ended up being closer to $560 with the multi car discount. Still too much? How about down in the low $400’s the following year?

So service and price are perfect in my opinion.

Edit: Forgot to mention this is also the same 0 deductible 100/300 policy I keep on all my vehicles.

+1!

I've been with State Farm since I bought my Mustang GT 5.0 back in '85.....
No other Insurance Companies would even offer insurance for 24 year old me driving a 'high HP' (lol) 5 speed car.
Every now and then I check my insurance coverage and my agent always has the best price.
State Farm has helped me many times with claims for my autos, and my home.
He even covers the 427 Cobra at a better rate than Hagerty and other supposed 'hard to insure car' insurance companies.

I can say that, based on my personal experience, GEICO and AllState suck!

I almost switched to GEICO many years ago....but they balked at insuring me when they found out that I owned a Valentine1 Radar Detector.....WTF?!
I've never, ever, considered using GEICO after that.

The merger/sale likely will be bad news. I love the Hagerty bi-monthly magazine. That may be first thing to go. Second to go may be the unlimited mileage on the collector cars. Third to go 'road side assistance?

Unfortunately, not very often.

It's a Spring & Fall car....during the Summer it is usually too HOT or Thunderstorms are in the area.
With no top and a 468 big block (427 FE 4.125" stroker) that can overheat in traffic, there aren't too many days that allow me to drive it in the Wash DC/Baltimore area.
It gets stored in the garage once they salt the roads for snow.
I've driven it as late as December some years.
This weekend, I'm heading over to local C&C so that I can wake up any late sleepers on Sunday morning.....:D
